CD: “The Lady of The Pillar says”. D. Claudio Pradilla composed it in 1984. Since its origin, the composer had perfectioned it to be singing by mezzo-soprano's voice. It is an orchestrated song, according to the well-done classic music. It is an innovation in the field of “jotas”.

The musical tone of astonishing fineness accompanies the lyrics, so each home should own one disk

Advices, warnings and prayers to the believers and the not believers so that they finally believe in the Virgin, Mother of Jesus, who seated Zaragoza as Her Temple Base and center of pilgrimage for faithful believers, in Aragon land, Spain.

THE LYRICS

Events took place twenty-four years ago, in 1984. When the composer suffered an accident, so he entered in the MAZ Hospital in Zaragoza, and was intervened by surgeons. During his stay in a room, few hours later, he unceasingly looked at the window. Why he focused his attention there, he wondered. Soon he saw first, the Lady’s Image he had painted in an oil over canvas called “ The arrival of The Lady of The Pillar to Zaragoza” in 1972, which is reproduced in the cover of the CD: “ The Lady of The Pillar says”. But if this was not enough to call his attention, Claudio saw in second moment, the Lady’s Image as is admired in The Pillar of The Basilica in Zaragoza. This fact was accompanied of a petition he received in his mind: “TO WRITE”.

Claudio obeyed what was a clear command for him. So he asked his wife for a paper and a pen; she was attending him in his recovery. And every thing began this way, so he wrote profound words. Then, he fell asleep; it was dawn. The following morning, surgeons who operated him, visited him to see his evolution, and they found those divine words. Surgeons, astonished, asked him if he had written it. Claudio didn’t remember anything about the night before, because he was not completely conscious, but he confirmed it was his writing style. Simply, the external inspiration came to him through our Lady’s dictation.

As anecdote, a nurse came later to assist Claudio and requested him for an autograph. He consented in exchange it for a glass of orange natural juice.

Nowadays, Mr. Claudio is inscribed in the honor book of The MAZ Hospital

THE MUSIC                 

Later on, it was necessary to compose the music for the lyrics, suitable to its relevance.

 

Claudio often visits our Lady in Temple, moreover in that season, to thank for his good evolution after his hospital intervention. However, a thought disturbed him each time he went there to pray. It was an order: “ TO COMPOSE A MUSIC ”. But he almost had forgotten what happened in the hospital. He never considered himself as an illuminated; he never did, so he didn’t consider what had happened as important as it was. The time passed and he finally thought it might refer to the lyrics he wrote that night in the Hospital. So he was thinking on its music, but it didn’t fructify for a time, until one night, in his solitude, some idea came through his mind, which sounded soft, delicate and beautiful. There the “romanza” began as a prayer (the first track of the CD, eight minutes length).

The summer passed, and due to this interruption he returned with renovated forces to continue his composition in a different style. This time, three “ Jotas ”, (it is the name of a local and popular song in Aragon), were composed. This Aragonese composition changes style of songs done before. It is an innovation from to the “Jota” song, which local people usually listens. The fineness of the lyrics deserves such an innovation. And so, the sweet and soft coloring of her voice was chosen among several ones.

  Therefore, the lyrics aren’t modified in any way. Lyrics have been respected as they had been dictated, and the music is played as the inspiration came through. Maybe, the Aragonese  “Jota” song features varies, such as the quartet form or the speed, but it was not the composer’s intention to alter the message like it was given. In spite of the critic of the traditional “joteros” singers, who do not conceive another “Jota” possible style, even though the origin of the song and the grant of the message, were so special that it might be considered not its form, but its content, which it is necessary to expand in the world.

   Few people have collaborated with us when we asked for their participation in this project, since it was expensive to be financed. And few people who helped us to diffuse it once it was carried out, but somehow, this great truth will flourish in the whole world.

ROMANZA

From immemorial times, God in Reinosa wanted

The Ebro was there originated.

   The Lady of The Pillar said: Here in Zaragoza I will stay, feeling rejoicing.

   I will bless its river, its people and every one who will visit Me repented.

I will help you; I will love you while I hold My Child in my arms. Symbol which means, that

I‘ll sustain with the same fondness, to each visitor, woman or man.      

And I will stress in the man, because, due to his load and responsibility, he needs of My Care.

 

As Your Celestial Mother, who begs for you, who cries for you,

Cause you are My beloved offspring. And you don’t doubt about implore me and visit me always, because you all are the shyest,

And My Temple rejoices if

 I see you approaching here.

I contemplate you with humbleness. When you apply for me, I listen, because you are My Children. Don’t stop coming to see me, since I feel sad if you don’t come.

 

Recital:

 

I didn’t want to be French, but ARAGONESE. And ARAGON owns, now and forever, PRIVILEGES. DON´T FORGET IT, men who rule. So that, you must study a good PLAN, since you won’t remove their nourishment of the straighten people, their river, EBRO, which showers their water and I BLESS, AND THEIR PEOPLE, Aragonese peasant, “baturrros”, rudimentary and humble, with great heart and so many VIRTUES, that My CLOAK COVERS THIS WHOLE SACRED LAND.

3ª You must visit our Lady. BROTHER, you must visit our Lady. You rejoice with her. You reconcile with HER, Since she is your beloved MOTHER. DON´T FORGET tender mum.
